1050 Markham Road Condos is a condo development by CAPREIT at 1050 Markham Rd in Scarborough. Plans call for 635,438,197 suites. Sales have not launched yet, and registration is open for first access.
1050 Markham Road is the site of CAPREIT's 19-storey, 295-unit rental apartment building near Markham Road and Ellesmere Road in Scarborough's Woburn neighbourhood. In June 2024 CAPREIT applied to the City of Toronto to rezone the property for two new infill buildings beside the existing tower, which would stay.
Building A would rise 37 storeys from a six-storey podium at Markham Road and Brimorton Drive, with 438 units. Building B, on Brimorton Drive, would be 15 storeys with 197 units, stepping down toward the neighbouring townhouses. Together that is 635 new homes, with 208 parking spaces on three underground levels. Wallman Architects designed the proposal.
This is an application, not a launch: CAPREIT has not announced whether the new units will be rentals or condos, and there are no floor plans, prices or occupancy dates. The suites listed for rent at 1050 Markham Road today are in the existing building.
